This supplemental travel funding, offered through the Equitable Access Fund, is meant to bridge the gap between what you can get from your campus or community organization and what you need. You (or your group) must show that you have made an effort to find funding from your campus/community. We want to spread this funding as far as possible so please be mindful of your positionality and access to resources.
Share your ride to SZW19! If you’re driving and have extra seats, or looking for someone with seats to share, you can use this spreadsheet to connect. Just include your contact information, and make sure to reach out to anyone else listed if you think they could become a ride-buddy.
Philadelphia’s Public Transit System is called SEPTA, and includes buses, subways, trolleys, and trains. The University of Pennsylvania is:
- An 8-minute walk from the Market-Frankford Line (the MFL). Hop off at 34th Street Station, and walk south until you reach Perelman Quad.
- A 5-minute walk from the 37th Street Trolley Station. Walk east on Spruce Street until you get to Perelman Quad.
- There are also a number of local bus stations. The “public transit” settings of Google and Apple Maps do a great job of getting you on the best route.
Each trip on the SEPTA will cost $2.50 cash, one token, or a reloadable SeptaKey card. Exact change only.
Parking can be challenging at The University of Pennsylvania but the lots below have visitor spots. See below for addresses and fares.
