There and Back Again…
If you are travelling from afar, we suggest you fly into Boston-Logan Airport, located in Boston, MA. Once at the airport terminal, you can hop directly onto the C&J Bus (paid service) to get to the Portsmouth C&J bus station. This service runs every hour throughout most of the day and into the wee hours of the morning. From the Portsmouth C&J bus station, our team will be offering free shuttles to the main community housing location, The Community Church of Durham, located next to the conference venue at the University of New Hampshire (UNH).
To sign up for a van shuttle pickup from the Portsmouth C&J bus station, see “Shuttle Service” below.
If you are planning on driving, we encourage you to carpool/rideshare with as many people as possible (within reason – we do not condone piling 8 people into a mini cooper). Whether you are able to drive or are looking for a ride, consult our Rideshare document to connect with others who are looking to carpool here!
Parking on the UNH campus is free over the weekend. We suggest parking in C Lot (aka Mill Road Visitor Lot) for the full weekend.
By Bus or Train
Durham is not the easiest place to get to by bus but if this is your preferred mode of travel we suggest taking the bus to Boston South Station, getting the C&J Bus (paid service) to Portsmouth and then hopping on one of our shuttles (free) to get to Durham.
Taking the train is a bit easier as there is an Amtrak station directly on the UNH campus. Check out their schedule here.
For more local bus trips, check out the COAST bus service. Through special application, they also provide paratransit services.
(Free!) Shuttle Service
We will provide free shuttles in a 14 passenger van to and from the Portsmouth C&J Bus Station. NOTE: Our shuttle service is separate from the C&J Bus, which is a paid service that will transport you to Boston-Logan airport.
Shuttle spots are limited, and registration is required to ride – sign up using the form below!
NOTE: You MUST be signed up for the shuttle at least 4 hours ahead of your departure.

Mid-Atlantic Community Bus
Coming from the mid atlantic? Let us give you a lift! For the first time ever we are orchestrating a bus service from Philadelphia, PA to Durham, NH and back again with pick up stops in Purchase, NY and New Haven, CT. The bus only seats 55 people so get your spot asap!
PLAN will subsidize the cost of the bus, but we are asking for campuses to come together to help fund this (much cheaper) travel method. The total cost of the bus and driver is $4,000, which comes out to $80 per seat. We are requesting $50 for a ticket fee, but also ask that those who are able to receive greater funding from their institution pay the full cost of $80. This will help make this transportation accessible for more students! You can buy tickets below and email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.

We do our absolute best to provide safe and comfortable housing. If you would prefer to book your own housing in the area we suggest the Holiday Inn Express or an Airbnb or Couchsurfing spot in Durham. Please stay on or very close to campus. Local transportation is not great.
We partner with local churches and community centers to secure as much floor space as possible for students to stay in. Rooms fit anywhere from 10-60 people and most are carpeted. We will have several designated “quiet rooms” for those who want to go to sleep on the earlier side. If you require a different form of accommodation, please contact Nim (email@example.com) and we will coordinate alternative housing to the best of our ability.
To Bring: Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, pillow, earplugs, anything else you need to be comfy!
Showers: We secure a couple of day passes at the local gym, which has a shower. We will be handing them out at the conference by first come first serve. More can be purchased very cheaply.
