Environmental Justice & Resilience Tour

With the Energy Justice Network and Zulene Mayfield

Join PLAN, the Energy Justice Network, and members of the Chester Residents Concerned for Quality Living (CRCQL) for this pre-conference event that explores the entanglement of environmental racism with landfill and incineration infrastructure. Communities like the city of Chester are labeled environmental justice areas because of the harm that local industrial facilities cause. We will start off with an hour long workshop focused on the concepts of Environmental Justice. The tour to follow will drive through Chester to reveal the extent of this degradation, and more importantly, the resiliency efforts that community members are facilitating to re-build their community and fight for justice. Lunch will be provided.
